2008 Mazda 3 plastic battery cover and cover for engine's co

My battery plastic cover broke off and cannot be placed back on in any fashion....so I removed it. Is this going to present any problems?

The little plastic cover right next to the battery is over the autos' computer and wiring is also broken off.  I did my best to keep it on with one twist-tie and duct tape.....will this be ok to use?

The cover is there to protect the battery, wires and computers from the environment, you can still feel comfortable knowing that the components are safe. If you have them in place and secured with tape and wire ties then they are still doing their job.

You can go to your local Mazda dealer and order new covers if you feel the need to have them. If you want to save some money you can go to a salvage yard and get one off the same model vehicle you have for a reduced price but in used condition.

Thank you so much!    I am leaving the battery cover off but have secured the computer box and wire cover with a wire tie and duct tape.

You should be fine with that set up but try my suggestions and get a replacement cover at your convenience.

Thank you.     It would not just be the cover but the entire casing as the clips that hold the cover on were what broke off...and I cannot afford the entire fixture plus the labor for installing  sad
