Inoperative trunk release

Trunk will not release when using key fob or interior button.  Entry through key in rear bumper does work and it properly closes.  2005 XLR

Re: Inoperative trunk release

Check the under hood fuse panel for a blown fuse. The fuse to check would be Battery 1fuse 33 60 AMP. Also check FLDG/TOP TRUNK LATCH FUSE 15 AMP, and BATTERY 3 FUSE 26 60 AMP.

Also A.C. LATCH PK BRK B fuse 10  10AMP. If you need more help get back to me we can diagnosis the problem further.

If you have trouble locating these fuses then check your owners manual for fuse location information. If you need the wire schematic I supplied it below from the Alldata information website.
