Brake Light All Not Working

Hello Sir,

I Have Trailblazer 2003 Issue , Brake light is out
I checked the fuses #12 in front and  #16  and #34 in back and replace the #34
and now all are good
But still not working
then i get a multimeter and checked the voltage from the board (which the bulbs are installed on )
i found it 4~6 Volts only - then i checked volt inside the rear fuse box form fuses #16 #34 and found it 4~6 Volts too

so i there is any Relay for these or it's the brake switch or what

sorry for all this
but i'm very disappointed

hope to find solution

Thanks a lot

Re: Brake Light All Not Working

The voltage for those two fuses comes from the brake switch (stop light switch). I'm sending a wire schematic to show the voltage to the rear fuse block.

Check the voltage going into the brake switch (stop light switch) and then going out of the switch.

Let me know how you make out.

Re: Brake Light All Not Working

If this is where you got the switch from then that would be the switch.

I also sent you a diagram of the plug labeling the wires (terminals) in the plug. Check for voltage at letter B (orange wire) and letter D (pink wire). With the brake pedal applied you should have 12 volts at both sides of the switch terminals A and B.

You can also check terminals A and B with an ohm meter, you should register 0 ohms with the brake switch applied.

Let me know how you make out.

Re: Brake Light All Not Working

Thank you for respond , i checked it like what you advised me
your info was very helpful , and it gives me 12 v.  in both B and D
and after install it for two times to test , i noticed that the plug it self and the switch when moving the wires it works and goes again like if there is bad contact in one of wires
after all i fixed it will and it's all fine now ( Brake Light , Cruise , Gear Lock )
and in the rear Fuse box its giving me 12 v.
maybe i will have to replace the switch or the plug Soon Right ??!!

Thank you very much for your perfect support smile
