oil spill

I forgot to put my oil cap on after adding oil. The blanket attached to the inside of the hood is drenched and all over the engine. What would you recommend.

Re: oil spill

You can go to your local auto parts store and get a couple of cans of engine degreaser and spray the in side of the engine compartment. Follow the directions on the can.

The blanket you are explaining is usually used for sound proofing.

You can try to replace it, try to clean it the best you can or remove it. I would try to clean it the bet I could and keep it in the hood. This is just my opinion.
