DIC information

I have an 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora, 4.0 liter V8 DOHC. The driver information center reads, "service vehicle soon" , although it doesn't need to be serviced and the car won't start. is there a way to bypass this ?

Re: DIC information

This could mean one of two things. First is that the car needs to be serviced for an oil change, this could have been reset improperly or it is time to change the oil.

The second is that a sensor has been malfunctioning and needs to be serviced. To find out you would need some one to put a scanner on the cars computer connection and see if any trouble codes are stored in the computers memory.

If a code is stored then you need to fix that problem code and go on from there.

The car not starting could be part of the problem or something else.

Scan the computer first and go on from there.

Get back to me with the results and we can go on from there.
