I HAVE A 97 HONDA ACCORD, VTEC, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON YESTERDAY AND MY DRIVE 4 LIGHT ON MY DASH STARTED FLASHING. ANYONE KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS OR WHAT COULD BE WRONG WITH IT?
When the Powertrain or Transmission Control Module (PCM or TCM) detects an abnormality in the automatic transmission control system, or when you request diagnostic trouble codes through the service check connector, the PCM or TCM will make the D4 indicator light blink.
Bringing the car into your local service department at Honda or your local automotive professional they can put a scanner on the car to detect any trouble codes that may be stored in the PCM or TCM memory. They can then tell you what is wrong with the car once they know what the trouble code is.
