Electric system doesn't work after new battery installed

Our 1999 Infinity G20 passed inspection last week. Since then we have been having problems with the battery.
Battery was replaced today, and now the electric locks, radio, internal reading lights, and the "chime" when car lights are on do not work. Is there some kind of code that needs to reset? How do I get that?

Re: Electric system doesn't work after new battery installed

You need to take your car to an Infinity dealer or qualified automotive technician who is trained in reprogramming computers and modules.

When you changed the battery you erased the memory of the modules and they need to be reprogrammed.

In the future, they sell a tool called a memory minder where you plug into the ALDL (computer connector) connector with a battery backup for modules and car interior. Then you can replace the battery and not lose any of the data in the modules.
