No check engine light, no start and no data in most cases the PCM is dead. Confirm all power inputs to the PCM and all grounds to the PCM.
Hello esteemed. Need to jump on board here as well...same thing...no communication with PCM...no spark... Has fuel at rail but no injector pulse...fresh known good PCM and crank sensor...same.
Thanks in advance. Miles
If you have checked all the fuses and it all check out good then check to see if you have spark because you said you had fuel. If you have fuel and no spark then go to the next step below. You need to clarify that the crank sensor is good before you go further.
One area you should check is the right/rear of the engine where G106, G107 & G108 are bolted together. If you don't have the proper grounds you can't have the functions for the engine to start.
Get back to me with your results when you can so we can diagnosis the problem further if needed.
I'm having kinda the same issue but mine is a little different, a few weeks ago while somone was checking my alarm they said my buss can had somthing wrong with it but everything seemed to be working ok, then today I tried to program my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee with my hypertech programmer and it started to program then went out and rd-sd error and stopped. Now I cannot start my Jeep at all won't even turn over, so I plugged my scanner in and its saying error cannot communicate with ecu/pcm so my mind is boggled.
You may have corrupted the software in the PCM. You would have to go to the dealer to have the PCM updated with the current software.
Before you do that disconnect the crank sensor then connect the scan tool and then turn the ignition on and see if you have communication. Check all of your fuses make sure none are blown.
Other issues include the grounds at the back of the engine, by the fenders and the engine block. Make sure have good connections. You just can't look at them you have to take them off and clean them until they are clean and shinny then reconnect them tightly.
Try these suggestions and get back to me we can diagnose the problem further if needed.
