1995 Chevy Suburban stereo

Hello, I have a 1995 Chevy Suburban and the volume is up a little but wont go any louder. But it will turn down and there is no way it's at max because sometimes I can't hear it. I was wondering what could be the problem. I tested the speakers, they seem fine. Like i said they work, but I just can't hear them and I checked to see if anything was loose behind the stereo, and there wasn't. Thank you for your help.

Re: 1995 Chevy Suburban stereo

I couldn't image the problem being anything other than a bad amplifier (internal part of the radio).

If the speakers and their circuits test good, and you have 12 volts and a good ground to the radio, it must be internal.

If that's the case, get a new radio, or send it out to an electronics shop for diagnosis and repair.
