still leaking water after water pump and timing chain replacement

I have a 1991 Honda Accord Ex.  It started leaking water from water pump. Changed water pump and timing chain. Still appears to be leaking from drivers side area. Does this year and model have freeze plugs or something else? HELP

Re: still leaking water after water pump and timing chain replacement

'91 Accord has a timing belt -- not chain.

And yes, there are freeze-out plugs in the engine block. But you don't want to assume anything.

Get a coolant system pressure tester and pressurize the system. Most of the time you will then be able to see where the coolant is coming out.

If it's a small leak -- or coming from a hidden location -- add coolant system dye, run it though the system, re-pressurize, and then view with a black light and special glasses. This is the best method to locate the origin of the toughest leaks.
