Disconnecting the fuel hoses from the fuel rail

How do I disconnect the fuel hoses from the fuel rail of a 1987 Volkswagen Jetta with a 1.8L engine?

Thanks.

Re: Disconnecting the fuel hoses from the fuel rail

If you're talking about the fuel distributor with the fuel injector lines and also have the fuel inlet and return lines, then the inlet lines have a clamp on one end. The clamp should be spread apart or cut off and use a screw type clamp as a replacement. The other end has a screw to hold the fuel line onto the distributor.

If this is the wrong information; then please give more detailed information about your car like is it gas or diesel? What engine type? What type of fuel injection, is it K jetronics or L jetronics? Is it a digifant fuel system or digijet fuel system? Are the fuel lines colored, blue for the return line and black for the pressure side.

The more details you supply the better I can help you with.
