head bolts tightening sequence

What is the tightening sequence for the head bolts in a 1996 Land Rover Discovery with a 4.0L V8 engine?

Thanks.

Re: head bolts tightening sequence

Install the cylinder head bolts in position illustrated. 66 mm long bolts 2,4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

96 mm long bolts 1, 3, 5

Note: There are no bolts fitted in the four lower holes in each cylinder head.

From the front of the engine the top bolts are  9, 5, 1, 3, 7.
                                                                          8, 4, 2, 6, 10.

Follow the number sequence and tighten to specs below.

Lightly oil new bolts and tighten with torque angle gage in the sequence shown.

Stage 1  20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)

Stage 2  90°

Stage 3  Further 90°
