firing order

what is the correct firing on a 72 402bb chevy motor? I had the distributor out and wires off  over the winter and now i cant be sure i have it correct.

72 gmc sierra grande 2500 a/c 400thm  danna60 power loc posi  2wd  127"wb

The proper firing order for a 1972 402 V8 is 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2.

No thats the standard firing order for a chevy sb and SOME bb, not the 402 however. thanks anyway.

The only other firing order I found for a 402 which is also for a 427 truck engine that was used for chevy through the years of 1972 to 1995, it is 1 8 7 2 6 5 4 3.

I don't know if this is for your engine. The first firing order I gave you was for all chevy 402 engines. Try this one and let me know if this is the one you were looking for.
