Re: overheating

Do the cooling fans turn on when the temperature reached about 220 degrees?

The electric cooling fans cool the engine when the vehicle is not going fast enough for the air to go through the radiator. When the engine reaches the preset temperature the fans will engage.

The fans will also engage when the A/C is turned on. Does this happen?

Check the fuses and relays related to the cooling fan circuit. If current is going to the fan then the fan may be at fault.

Let us know how you make out.
