Type of wheel bearing used

I'd like to know what type of wheel bearings are used on the front and rear wheels. For example, tapered roller or ball bearing; and are they factory sealed or do I have to pack them with grease if changed?

This is for a 2000 Lexus GS300, base model with a 3.0L 6 Cyl. 2JZGE engine.

Thanks.

Re: Type of wheel bearing used

The bearings are usually a roller bearing type that are factory sealed. There is no maintenance for the bearings.

If you are changing the bearings then the only thing to change is the bearing itself and or the dust seals and or covers if needed.
