My 2006 PT Cruiser OBD II port isn't working. I can't scan the PCM. All fuses are good, what's wrong with it? OBD
What is the problem you are having that you want to scan the OBD2 system?
When you turn the key on does the check engine light illuminate?
Does the car run? Is the check engine light on when it runs?
What brand scanner are you using? Does it draw its power from the lighter, OBD2 connector or does it have its own battery? Check batteries if equipped.
The data link connector has 16 wire connector slots. The number 1 slot is the top left, going to the right, the last one on the top right is number 8. The second row left is 9 and moving to the right to the last one is 16.
Check that terminals number 4 and 5 are ground, and 8 is ignition switch on/start voltage and 16 is fused battery positive.
If the grounds and positive battery feeds are good then it sounds like you lost communication in the CAN BUS system which would require a qualified professional to diagnose.
The dealer has a much more sophisticated scan tool than the common ones sold in auto parts stores.
