I HAVE A 1987 GRAND NATIONAL. RECENTLY MY FAN BURNED OUT WHEN I TRIED TO INSTALL A NEW FAN IT WOULD NOT COME ON WHEN THE TEMP REACH THE RIGHT LEVEL. I THEN DID A BY PASS ON THE RELAYS FOR THE FAN AND THEY SEEM TO BE WORKING FINE. I THEN GROUNDED OUT THE TEMP SENSOR WHICH I DIDN'T THINK ANYTHING WAS WRONG WITH IT. IT SEEMED TO BE FINE. I AM NOT GETTING ANY VOLTAGE TO THE WIRES THA CONNECT TO THE FAN. I AM NOW THINKING THAT MAYBE ITS A FUSABLE LINK. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHERE TO LOOK FOR IT. THANK YOU
Not sure what you mean by "bypassing the relays". If you jumped the power terminal to the terminal going to the fan, that doesn't eliminate the relay (s) as the cause of the problem.
Very ofter relays are damaged when an electric motor burns out. You might need to test the circuits more accurately, or try a known-good relay.
