Location of MAP sensor

I have a '93 Sidekick JX I cannot find the MAP sensor it is not located on the fire wall as is the case of others I have seen. It is a 16 valve 1.6 fuel injected model any suggestions? I had to change the ECU because it wouldn't start now it runs but seems to flood, I changed the MAF (used) but this changed nothing, You can unplug the MAF and the running smooths out for a few minutes then the flooding returns and it has no power, any help is appreciated

Re: Location of MAP sensor

Going by the ALLDATAdiy.com system electrical schematic, the throttle body injected 1.6-liter uses a MAP (pressure sensor), but you MFI (multi-port fuel injected) engine uses a MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor instead.

What's the problem?

Re: Location of MAP sensor

You can probably find the sensor in the middle of intake manifold under the fuel rail. It may also be near the EGR valve. It's held in by a torx screw. Find the vacuum hose from the manifold to the sensor it looks like it has a vacuum filter on it and a three wire connector. One engine uses a MAF (mass air flow sensor) the other uses the MAP sensor. Check to see which one.
