Power lock problems

Recently, the power lock buttons on the driver's side seem to have loosened and will not always lock or unlock when pushed.  The passenger slide lock buttons still have the tension and I can lock and unlock this side no problem.  I checked the door lock fuse, which was fine.  Could this be an actuator problem or something more simple??  What should this cost to repair??

Re: Power lock problems

You really can't tell what the problem is until you take the door panel off and visually look inside.

It can be the actuator but can also be loose linkage rods, loose mounting rivets or even broken metal parts.

Once you or your mechanic get inside, you can get an idea on what is wrong and how much it will cost.
